Rebecca Schuetz
Introduction
Early Childhood Special Education Teacher- I graduduated from UW Stevens Point in 2001 with a degree in Early Childhood Special Education for children ages Birth- 8 years as well as Elementary Education for grades 4K- 3rd. I began working in Wisconsin Heights in 2006. Most years I am primarily working with grades Early Childhood, 4K and 5K. I grew up in Green Bay and I have 2 children (Brenna-15 and Jack- 12). Along with my husband of 18 years we live in Black Earth and we love being part of this community. In my free time I enjoy, spending time with my family, traveling to new places, shopping, and hanging out with friends and of course doing anything Disney related.
My Classroom
My classroom is themed around Disney and creativity and imagination. We have a wide variety of areas to play and explore. We have blocks, an art easel, legos, cars/ trucks, dolls, kitchen, dress up, smartboard, a full kitchen, our own bathroom and even a crash pad. We love to wish upon stars too so you will find star lights and twinkle lights to never be in the dark.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is to meet kiddos where they are at and help them grow. I learned a long time ago from a fellow parent and community member to appreciate and always acknowldge the "inchstones" in every student, every day. The other thing thing that I believe to be the most important part of my job is to establish caring, trusting and safe relationships with each of my students. A good relationship will take us to new levels and make the days enjoyable.
