Introduction

Hello, my name is Devin McCartney. I earned my teaching license from UW-River Falls and have over 9 years of teaching experience. I live in the community of Deforest, Wisconsin, which is 10 minutes north of Madison. My favorite hobbies include reading and spending time with family and friends.

Courses

All of the second grade classrooms use the following curriculum:

Math-

Bridges in Mathematics is a K-5 curriculum that aligns to the Wisconsin State Standards. The program focuses on developing students’ understanding of mathematical concepts. The program uses whole group Problems & Investigations, open explorations in Work Places, and Number Corner.

Reading/Language Arts-

Benchmark Advance is a K-5 comprehensive literacy program that is aligned to Wisconsin State Standards. Each unit integrates reading, writing, phonics, constructive conversations, and word study skills.

Science-

Social Studies-
