Introduction

I am Angie Updike and I have been in the Wisconsin Heights School District for 29 years. This is my 13th year teaching 4K and I love working with young children. I have also taught 3rd grade, 4th grade, 1st grade and Kindergarten. I am married and have a son. I enjoy reading, doing puzzles, playing games, trivia, traveling and spending time with friends and family.

My Classroom

My 4K classroom is centered around creating a warm and inviting environment for the children to learn and grow in. I believe in establishing a strong classroom routine to foster a child's independence. We spend time learning in both a large and small group setting along with free choice centers for a play-based experience. Social-emotional skills along with some academics take place throughout the day.

Teaching Style

I take the time to get to know each individual child and form a positive relationship. I strongly believe that the early years of a child's education are the more formative years and I love witnessing the growth that the children make in our time together.
