Frannie Parrell
Introduction
I was born and raised in the Wisconsin Heights School District, and I love that I am able to teach in and give back to the community that taught me so much. My husband and I love raising our two children in this community as well.
I completed my undergraduate degree in Elementary education at Edgewood College in Madison in 2009. I went back to school at Viterbo University in 2012 and completed 19 credits in Early Childhood education adding an Early Childhood license to my degree. I have been working with kids of various ages and abilities in various settings since 1998. I started working exclusively in Early Childhood in 2009 and have loved every minute!
My Classroom
In my classroom you will find 5 different learning centers for my students to explore: Art, Pretend, Blocks, Library and Discovery (Math/Science). We have a busy day mixed with play, small groups and direct instruction to help your child learn skills such as name writing, letter recognition and sounds, counting and, most importantly in 4k, social emotional skills.
Teaching Style
I enjoy planning hands on activities to help your learners grow in academics and social emotional skills. We do art projects, games and sensory activities incorporated with a lot of play based learning.
