Secretary of Education Visits Wisconsin Heights!

Each year, US Secretary of Education, Dr. Miguel Cardona selects a handful of schools across the country to highlight the innovative strategies and community efforts that are accelerating student achievement and supporting students of all backgrounds. This year, Wisconsin Heights MS/HS was chosen as a school of distinction for this tour.

With the theme "Fighting for Public Education," this year’s tour celebrated the vital role public schools play in shaping our nation’s future. During his September 3rd visit, Dr. Cardona toured our school, visited classrooms, and facilitated a panel discussion featuring our teachers, local District Administrators, and State Superintendent, Dr. Jill Underly.  The Department of Education also sent out a media team to highlight our vibrant Career Technology Education programs and the value of rural educational communities/programs.
