This is an annual event done in partnership with the Dane County Sherrif Office. 💚 Students proudly turned over these colorful masterpieces to the officers who will give them to those battling or have survived this disease. On Friday, some students got to visit with Freya the therapy dog and her mom, Jill! Freya is a Goldendoodle that comes to us from Dogs on Call, an organization that provides certified therapy dogs to visit various locations, such as nursing homes, hospitals, libraries, schools, correctional facilities and the Dane County Airport. We have her, as well as other dogs, come a couple times a month. The kids love when she comes and she definitely brings lots of smiles to all their faces 😊 Want to learn more about Dogs on Call? Here's a link to their website! https://dogsoncall.org/ Thanks for visiting, Freya! #VanguardPride
