"When we choose kindness as our default, we create an environment where everyone can thrive. It’s not about waiting for the extraordinary; it’s about recognizing that everyday acts have extraordinary potential."

Inspired by the breathtaking beauty of the Northern Lights, Mrs. Schmitt’s 7th-grade social studies students used chalk and paint to bring the magic of the aurora to life! Through color and texture, they captured the wonder of nature’s own light show.
Let their creativity transport you to the glowing skies of the Arctic!
Breathtaking, indeed!

Do you have a child that will be 4 years old on or before September 1, 2025, or 5 years old on or before September 1, 2025, not already enrolled in the Wisconsin Heights School District? You are invited to sign up for a time slot and come and pre-enroll your child for Preschool and Kindergarten classes. You must sign up for a time slot, we can not accept walk-ins at this time.
Pre-registration is an important component in our district budget planning for the coming school year. We base our initial Preschool & Kindergarten staffing and class assignments on the number of students who are pre-registered. Please note, this pre-registration is only for Preschool and Kindergarten. Full online registration will be done in August.
Parents are asked to bring a few items to pre-registration:
1. Please provide verification of your child’s birth date in the form of their original birth certificate.
2. Proof of residency (utility bill, phone bill, lease, etc.) if you do not already have a child enrolled in the district.
At pre-registration, you will receive several forms to be completed immediately and others that may need to be completed before school begins in the fall. Forms can be found on our website if you are unable to attend at https://www.wisheights.k12.wi.us/district/enrollment/registration-enrollment/new-family-enrollment/
Please extend this invitation to anyone you know who has recently moved into the Wisconsin Heights School District. We look forward to seeing you at pre-registration!
Please feel free to call Courtney in the Elementary School office at 608-767-2251 with any questions.

School Census Information
(NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH NATIONAL CENSUS)
State law requires each school district to submit census information to the WI Department of Public Instruction each year. The census collection is not student registration or part of the national census.
The Wisconsin Heights School District is gathering census information for all children living within the school district’s boundaries between the ages of 0-20 years old.
Only households that are new to the district (students are not attending Wisconsin Heights for the 2024-2025 school year), have children 0-4 years old, children 19-20 years old, or the children do not attend schools within the Wisconsin Heights School District need to complete this form for the 2025-2026 school year.
Why is the census information important to the school district?
• It helps the school district plan our future enrollment in our district.
• It enables the district to send households age appropriate communications.
You may complete the census form online on our website at:
https://www.wisheights.k12.wi.us/page/census-information
The completed hard copy census form can be mailed or dropped off at any one of our schools, faxed: (608)767-3579, or by email: nklepper@wisheights.k12.wi.us by June 1, 2023. Please contact Nikki Klepper at (608)767-2595, ext. 2609 if you have any further questions.
